DTU receives positive institutional accreditation for the second time

June 28, 2021

Monday 28 Jun 21The Danish Accreditation Institution has just awarded DTU a positive institutional accreditation - a stamp that DTU's quality system works in practice and contributes to high-quality education. Positive accreditation means that the university remains responsible for quality assurance and the development of all existing programs. It also means that DTU can create new programs when pre-qualified and approved by the Minister of Education and Research. The accreditation takes place based on an external accreditation panel, which has reviewed DTU's quality assurance system, e.g., through visits to DTU and dialogue with students, lecturers, study leaders, and others. This is supported by DTU's quality system and strong quality culture in the field of education.

The Danish Accreditation Institution has just awarded DTU a positive institutional accreditation - a stamp that DTU's quality system works in practice and contributes to high-quality education.

The chairman of the Accreditation Institution, Per B. Christensen, states: "Quality assurance at the Technical University of Denmark is systematic and well-founded, and the institution's quality standards are worked on to improve quality continuously. There is a well-developed, inclusive quality culture and pronounced use of systematic dialogues that support a well-functioning quality work in practice."

The ever-increasing demand for DTU's programs, the students' positive assessment of the quality of the programs, and a high employment rate among the university's graduates also show that the quality of the education is high. This is supported by DTU's quality system and strong quality culture in the field of education.

In 2014, DTU was one of the first universities to be institutionally accredited, and this is the status that has now been achieved again and applies for the next six years.
