Keynote lecture: Simulation nationsAssociate Professor Nadia Kaneva is the keynote lecturer of the closing conference for Nordic Branding, which takes place 21.-22. The keynote lecture, which has the full title “Simulation Nations: Hypermediation and the Remaking of the National”, is based on her portfolio of research on national branding within her field of media studies. The lecture takes place on the first day of the conference, the 21. The keynote consists of a half hour long lecture followed by a half hour of Q&A. Physical participation is also possible by filling out this online form, although it should be noted that Kaneva will deliver her keynote lecture remotely via Zoom.

We are thrilled to welcome Associate Professor Nadia Kaneva of the University of Denver as the keynote speaker for our closing conference Nordic Branding – the Politics of Exceptionalism, which takes place between 21. and 22. October.

The keynote lecture, which has the full title “Simulation Nations: Hypermediation and the Remaking of the National”, is based on her portfolio of research on national branding within her field of media studies. The lecture takes place on the first day of the conference, the 21. October, at 13:30 Norwegian time. The keynote consists of a half hour long lecture followed by a half hour of Q&A.

The keynote can be watched online, the link to which will be posted on this website as well as here the day before the conference. Physical participation is also possible by filling out this online form, although it should be noted that Kaneva will deliver her keynote lecture remotely via Zoom.
