At the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering our students are studying to be for example innovators, entrepreneurs, illustrators, information designers, network technicians and engineers. We have five research specializations with different research profiles and research schools. A full-time employment as a doctoral student is attached to this third-cycle studies which corresponds to four years.
Position descriptionThe Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering is now looking for a PhD student. AI systems can fail due to intentional causes, such as attacks from active adversaries, or unintentional causes, such as not providing reliable results. AI systems must take preventive measures against unintentional or unforeseen events. This requires the ability to assess, evaluate, and control risks in a dynamic environment. Additionally, various forms of adversarial attacks can emerge in AI domains. Effective solutions are needed to protect against these attacks, including mitigation strategies.
As a PhD student, you will be involved in designing, conducting, and disseminating research focused on securing AI systems against attacks and risks. This includes:
Additionally, the student will be responsible for writing academic articles and completing the courses required for the PhD degree. The position may also include up to 20% teaching or other departmental duties.
