SCIENTISTS are working on a cancer vaccine which will be personalised for individual patients. The new jab will be used to treat treat patients with high-risk melanoma - the deadliest form of skin cancer. Most experts recommend using the simple “ABCDE” rule to look for symptoms of melanoma skin cancer, which can appear anywhere on the body. An mRNA vaccine is injected into the body where it enters cells and tells them to create antigens. As a result, mRNA vaccines have been hailed as potentially offering a rapid solution to new outbreaks of infectious diseases.
