HEO 8 $110,291 - $123,734 per annum plus employer contribution of 17% superannuation.

1x Continuing position and 1x Fixed-term position available until 31 st December 2025

Reporting to one of the University's experienced HR Managers, you will have a high degree of autonomy to deliver expert, practical and timely advice on Human Resources and Industrial Relations issues to key stakeholders. You will be the go-to resource for navigating the University's Enterprise Agreement and HR Policy and Procedure, ensuring Leaders and staff have the support they need.

The role operates with high degree of independent judgement, providing support and guidance to managers and staff on a broad range of human resource matters. The Senior HR Advisor team collaborate effectively with HR Branch colleagues and centres of excellence, to leverage specialist skill sets, ensuring seamless service delivery to our Leaders and staff.

By joining us, you will be a part of a broader Division of University Operations serving a customer base of 8000 staff across all sites and collaborate with a team who love what they do and have fun doing it!

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and delivering effective stakeholder-centric HR service, possessing highly developed interpersonal and relationship management skills in order to liaise, consult, negotiate and influence a wide range of people at all levels within a complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in the use of contemporary HR practice, including legislation and industrial instruments.
  • Proven experience providing timely and expert HR policy advice to staff and managers, including interpretation of Enterprise Agreements, change activity and HR policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience providing high quality advice and guidance to managers on complex and sensitive people management matters, identifying practical pathways for resolution.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing expert advice and support to Leaders on underperformance management.
