The School ofElectrical and Mechanical Engineering has an outstanding reputation for teaching and research excellence in the areas of electrical and electronic engineering, computer engineering, communication systems, biomedical engineering, autonomous systems, renewable energy, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronic engineering, marine engineering, and sustainable energy engineering. The school offers a vibrant research culture and an environment conducive to innovation.

We are seeking dedicated and passionate casual staff to assist with the delivery of our Semester 2 undergraduate and postgraduate courses, commencing 22 July 2024.

  • Ensure you meet the essential criteria :

  • Conferral of an undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Good technical knowledge of the key teaching components of the course/s you are applying for
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical information to students
  • Available and flexible to meet the minimum hourly/sessional requirements for the course/s
  • Able to work collegially to support excellent teaching in the School
  • Are an Australian citizen or possess an eligible Australian work visa
  • Please note: Prospective employees are required to provide evidence of their Australian citizenship or working rights.

  • Consider the desired criteria :
  • Completion of a postgraduate qualification in a relevant field
  • Teaching qualifications or formal training
  • Previous experience with casual work within the School
  • Demonstrated ability to educate and mentor students
