At the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, at the Sahlgrenska Academy, we conduct research and education covering a wide range of knowledge areas. The institute comprises five different departments: Clinical neuroscience, Health and rehabilitation, Pharmacology, Physiology as well as Psychiatry and neurochemistry.
The Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology invites applications for a researcher position at the Department of Clinical neuroscience.
The job is within the research group of Rehabilitation medicine. Interdisciplinary research is the dominating approach in the group with a person-centered perspective. The different conditions that are explored by the group are mainly within neurorehabilitation; stroke, traumatic brain injury, late effect of polio, cardiac arrest, cerebral palsy but there is also research regarding pain as well as hemophilia. Most of the members are also employed by the region and work both with research and healthcare.
DutiesAnalyze quantitative and qualitative data regarding travel by car and write an article.
QualificationsCertified physiotherapist with a PhD from the Faculty of Medicine. Own experience of qualitative research work regarding people with spinal cord injury. Experience of disability research. Experience of supervision of students in qualitative methodology.
The applicant should be autonomous in his/her work, have good interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a research organization. We appreciate that you are accurate and have good communication, administrative and strategic skills. Great emphasis will be placed in personal suitability.
EmploymentThe employment is hourly based and limited (temporary) for 8 months. You will work on hours when needed. The employment is placed at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Starting date: as soon as possible or as agreed.
