The research topic Applied Geochemistry belongs to the Department of Civil, Environmental and Natural Resources Engineering, which contributes to the development of a long-term sustainable society through research and education in the fields of mining, construction, and the environment. We are now looking for a postdoctoral fellow in Applied Geochemistry focusing on developing stable multi-isotope analyses using IRMS and MC-ICP-MS.

Subject description Applied Geochemistry includes studies of the occurrence and mobility of elements in rock, soil, and water, focusing on methods to prevent and reduce environmental effects from metal extraction and community building.

Project description The research engineer will work in different projects within the research group of applied geochemistry. Working tasks involve laboratory work with leaching tests, hydroseparation and SEM-EDS measurements, and fieldwork with groundwater and surface water sampling.

Qualifications To be eligible for employment as a research engineer in applied geochemistry you should have a background in applied geochemistry or similar. Focus will be on personal competence and background knowledge in field- and laboratory work.
