At the Division of Clinical Epidemiology at the Department of Medicine, Solna, we are at the forefront of research in clinical epidemiology. Would you like to contribute to improving the health of women and children? Join our research group in reproductive epidemiology, which consists of researchers, postdoctoral researchers and doctoral students conducting studies on pregnancy, childbirth and the neonatal period using national health and quality registers as well as clinical intervention studies. We are a growing and dynamic group of clinical researchers offering a welcoming workplace with stimulating opportunities to contribute to improving maternal and infant health.

We are looking for an engaged and meticulous research assistant with a Master’s degree in Nutrition or a related relevant field, who wants to contribute to ongoing research projects in nutrition, pregnancy, women’s health and epidemiology.

Your mission

As a research assistant, you will work closely with researchers and other members of the research group and contribute to different parts of the research process. The tasks will vary depending on ongoing projects and may include both research-related and administrative tasks. These may include literature searches, reviewing and summarizing scientific literature, data management, and assisting with various aspects of ongoing research projects. You may also contribute to clinical research studies, such as the PEPP study, and assist with practical and administrative tasks related to the conduct of the studies.

The role involves both independent tasks and close collaboration with researchers, doctoral students and other members of the research group.

Your profile

  • an interest in research in nutrition, pregnancy, women’s health and epidemiology
  • good ability to search for, critically review and summarize scientific literature
  • good command of English, both written and spoken
  • good computer skills and experience working in projects
  • a structured, proactive, responsible and flexible approach to work
  • the ability to work independently and in a solution-oriented manner
  • good collaborative skills and enjoys working in a team together with subject-matter experts.

Meritorious qualifications include:

  • knowledge of pregnancy and childbirth, for example through previous research projects
  • experience working with Swedish reproductive and perinatal registers
  • prior experience with epidemiological study designs and statistical data interpretation
  • knowledge of nutrition, for example through academic or applied research
  • experience with scientific writing, literature review, and grant or report writing

Great importance will be placed on communication skills and personal suitability. You enjoy working in a supportive role, while also being comfortable working independently and taking responsibility for your tasks. Our team is highly collaborative, and we work together to advance our research projects. We are therefore looking for a new colleague who is interested in collaborating with us as part of our research group.
