We are looking for an assistant researcher who will work on a project entitled: ”Smart Port Enforcement: The Prevention of Marine Pollution by Algorithm”

The primary task is to analyze the Swedish legal preconditions for deploying unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) in a marine context. UAVs and UUVs are becoming popular monitoring and enforcement tools for protecting the environment and their deployment could strengthen enforcement jurisdiction. The analysis includes legal sources and contact with authorities.

The successful applicant must hold a master's degree in law or near completion and have an interest in environmental law. Furthermore, the application must be fluent in both English and Swedish. In the assessment, consideration will be given to personal ability and qualifications. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
