The Faculty of Technology strives to ensure that Linnaeus University's vision permeates all of its activities, focusing on the key words: Attractive Knowledge Environment, Prominent Research, Social Driving Force, and Global Values. The Faculty of Technology has broad operations spanning nine different departments through which Linnaeus University provides instruction education and conducts research. The Department of Built Environment and Energy Technology provides instruction education and conducts research in energy processes, energy systems, energy use in Built environment and its impact on climate change to support our society's transition to a sustainable development and a low carbon economy. The postdoc researcher will work within the research group Sustainable Built Environment Research (SBER) and contribute to Linnaeus Knowledge Environment Green Sustainable Development.

Location until further notice: Växjö. Since Linnaeus University is located in both Växjö and Kalmar, travel between the two may be required.
Hours and term: Full-time for 2 years, with possibility for 1-year extension in accordance with the postdoctoral agreement.

Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to join our ongoing FORMAS-funded projects, which focus on climate-smart retrofitting and enhancing energy and resource efficiency in buildings. The successful candidate will conduct research, perform data analysis, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to develop strategies and recommendations for climate- smart retrofits within the construction sector. The role involves contributing to the development and evaluation of business models that facilitate climate- smart renovations by engaging SMEs, bankers, and insurance companies, aligning their business interests with broader climate goals. Additionally, the postdoc will support the creation of a practical guide for implementing climate-smart renovations using the CSR model, addressing project planning, execution, and improving the customer experience.
The position also offers opportunities for the postdoc to advance research in this field, exploring new initiatives and ideas. Besides, the postdoc fellow will have opportunity to collaborate with PhD and other Postdoc researchers working on various projects in the department.
The postdoc fellow is expected to actively participate in the institution's environment and network, both internally and externally, develop new project ideas and apply for external funding. Some teaching and supervision within the undergraduate and advanced levels can be included in the tasks.

Teaching and supervision, comprising no more than 20% of the total workload, may be included among your duties.
Qualifications
Anyone who has a doctorate in energy technology, environmental engineering, building technology, or a doctoral degree in the field of energy and sustainable built environment, or a doctoral degree with a corresponding subject relevant to energy and climate change, or who has a degree from another country that is equivalent to a doctorate in the aforementioned subjects, qualifies for the position.
In accordance with the postdoctoral agreement, applicants who were awarded their degree no more than three years prior to the last application date for the present position should be considered first
Applicants should not have previously worked as a postdoctoral fellow for more than one year in the same or related subject areas at Linnaeus University.
Demonstrated scientific competence in the aforementioned areas is a requirement for this position, along with a strong command of written and spoken English.
