Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Cancer Biology
Location: Brno, Czech Republic
Project Overview:
Dive deep into the biology of cancer cells by joining Stjepan Uldrijan
Research Group. We're on a mission to decipher molecular mechanisms
controlling the oncogenic ERK signaling in malignant melanoma cells and
contributing to melanoma resistance to targeted therapy. You will build on our
recent breakthrough findings (Valcikova et al. 2024,
https: // doi.org/10.1073/pnas.232130512) that have the potential to translate
into new, more efficient treatment options for this aggressive cancer.
Who We're Looking For:
Recent PhD Graduates and international Experience: If you've earned a
Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field within the
last seven years, we're looking for you. We value global perspectives.
Candidates should have spent at least two years in biomedical research
outside the Czech Republic in the past three years (with a workload
equivalent to at least 0.5 full-time employment).
Alternatively , hold a Ph.D. diploma (or equivalent) from an
international institution awarded within the past 3 years.
Solid publication record: at least three original research articles
published in the last three years (listed by the Web of Science, with IF
above the field median, at least two of the articles in Q1).
Skills & Qualities: We seek individuals with a background in molecular
cell biology and cancer signaling, excellent communication abilities,
fluency in English, and a passion for independent research.
