Job Summary These positions are open to currently enrolled Oberlin College students studying on campus. Preference will be given to students able to work in both fall 2026 and spring 2027.

As a Food Justice Intern, you will work with the food programs team at the social services organization Oberlin Community Services (OCS) to build access to healthy food and produce for the residents of southern Lorain County. This will involve working on OCS's Farm Food Rescue gleaning program and assisting with our food pantry operations.

Responsibilities ResponsibilitiesGleaning and Food Rescue program work includes: ● Outreach to local farmers and businesses to acquire donations● Picking up and logging food donated through the MealConnect program● Harvesting and picking up produce farmers agree to donate to our food pantry● Transporting, cleaning/packaging and distributing gleaned produce through our food distributions

With opportunities to: ● Assist with weekly food distributions and pantry management● Participate in regular food deliveries to folks in our community● Collaborate with Food Programs staff to maintain and expand Food Rescue initiatives● Learn about non-profit management, casework, volunteer coordination, donor relations, and more!
