Continuing, part-time 0.6 FTE position within the English Language Centre for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Project Coordinator.

The University of Adelaide English Language Centre (ELC) offers a range of General, Specialised and Academic English language programs and English teacher training services (TESOL) to the international and local market. The English language program offerings include packaged pathway, short term programs and post entry Academic English skills offerings. The ELC works closely with schools, faculties, external partners to support the University's strategic and commercial goals.

Working under general direction and with support from the ELC Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for assisting in the day to day administration of student admissions and ELC programs, which involves communicating with the applicant and/or agent (where appropriate or necessary), preplanning and data entry using both internal and external (government) systems.

Other tasks include assisting with student enquiries, records management, academic support, room scheduling, program induction and program completion tasks.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated commitment to the delivery of quality, timely and student- centric customer service and service improvement, preferable within an educational environment.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including capability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds, build relationships with stakeholders and work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Competent in the use of various technology and software, including The Microsoft Office Suite, administrative systems and database management, to deliver a wide range of administrative tasks with speed and accuracy and a strong attention to detail.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, including time management skills, prioritisation skills and an ability to work efficiently to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience in an international education environment and an understanding of ESOS and TESQA requirements. (desirable)
  • The successful application is required to be confident in Microsoft suite of products to support administration requirements.
