JBI at the University of Adelaide is seeking a qualified candidate for a fixed-term, full-time position available for 12 months as an Administration Officer - Communications in our Global Relations Team.

The remit of the Global Relations Division includes partnership management, stakeholder relations, public affairs, internal and external communication. Under the direction of the Global Relations Manager, the Administration Officer - Communications is responsible for supporting Global Relations Division in managing 80+ partnerships within the JBI Collaboration (JBIC). This entails using a teamwork approach, prioritising personal day-to-day workloads and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Key responsibilities of this position include administration (data entry and database management (CRM), minute taking, tracking activity); writing reports; developing communication guidelines and resources for international partners; supporting the management of national and international conferences and meetings (both online and face-to-face); website content management and providing social and digital media support.

To be successful you will need:

  • Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise and manage a multi-dimensional and varied workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels and culturally diverse stakeholders with a view to fostering relationships.
  • Demonstrated high level competency in the use of computer software and applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email, customer relationship databases and internet applications.
  • Sound understanding of the importance and impact of effective social media platform use.
