Duties and Responsibilities:

The seasonal groundsperson is expected to mow the campus grounds using both a push mower and ride-on mower, trim, edge and water the grass and flowers; plant flowers; weed and hoe flower and shrub beds; pick up rubbish, and other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Preference will be given to a Brandon University student who has a demonstrable background in Botany, Agriculture, or a related discipline. The successful candidate must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Applicants should be self-motivated and capable of working independently outdoors with minimal supervision. They will be expected to operate various power equipment, including but not limited to power trimmers, edgers, and lawn mowers, on a routine basis for extended periods. This position involves repetitive tasks that require precision and attention to detail. The successful candidate must satisfy a physical demands assessment as part of the hiring process.

NOTE

This is a full-time, term position to September 5, 2025. Shifts will be scheduled for weekdays and weekends. Candidates must be available for all scheduled shifts.
