Zoo medicine is highly specialized, requiring five years of experience in zoological medicine, which means experts in their field can earn lucrative salaries.

Equine Vet Tech

If you love riding or are passionate about horses, then consider working as an equine vet tech. This is someone who focuses on the care of horses, providing both routine and emergency care.

To work in this role, you’ll need to be certified by the American Association of Equine Veterinary Technicians. Some equine vet techs work in animal hospitals, but most tend to travel from farm to farm, doing house calls to treat horses on location.

To work as a vet technician for horses, you’ll need to be prepared for anything, from births to emergency surgeries.

Emergency and Critical Care Vet Tech
