An exciting and rewarding opportunity to coach basketball at National League level and develop future players has become available within the Worcester Wolves and University of Worcester.
We are recruiting a Head Coach to lead our Women's basketball programme and to spearhead our community basketball provision.
The successful candidate will be Head Coach of the Worcester Wolves Women's National League Team and University of Worcester BUCS team. The role will include recruiting players and students, developing our current talent, training and in-game coaching, and contributing to the wider development and success of the club, University basketball and UW Sport programmes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our female student basketball athletes have an excellent experience and fulfil their potential both on and off the court.
The role will also involve leading the delivery and development of our thriving community programme which has seen rapid growth over the past 12 months and caters for ages 5yrs to adults! The community programme currently comprises six weekly sessions and out of term camps. You'll act as a mentor to our student coaches, providing development and employment opportunities through the community programme. You will also be a part of the hugely successful Worcester Valencia Basketball Camp working with the Worcester and Valencia Basket coaching and support teams.
The successful candidate will be working within the School of Sport & Exercise Science, based at the Severn Campus working in a team of professional coaches and support staff.
