We are recruiting two part-time Visitor Services Assistants to join our busy team.
About the role
Working under the supervision of the Visitor Services Manager, Visitor Services Assistants provide a friendly welcome to visitors to the Museum of Natural History (c. 800,000 visitors per year), and assist with enquiries. They will also encourage donations to the Museum and conversions to Gift Aid. The Visitor Services Assistants play an important role in ensuring visitor safety and in the security of the building and the Museum collection and give introductions to visiting groups.
This is a permanent, part-time post, working 21.9 hours per week every Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

About You
This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a professional attitude and a flexible approach to work. Ideally the post holder will have experience of working in a museum or heritage visitor attraction, and experience working in a similar customer-focused environment.
The successful candidate will have a confident and proactive approach to dealing with problems and issues as well as a positive attitude and a desire to gain knowledge of the Museum and to share this with our visitors.
