The Department of Health & Human Physiology (HHP) is seeking an Assistant in Instruction with a focus on supporting the department's Exercise and Health Labs. This is a full-time, non-tenure track appointment for one academic year beginning August 2023 and is renewable. Duties of this position include teaching Metabolic and/or Musculoskeletal Exercise Testing and Prescription Laboratory, and Health and Behavioral Assessment Laboratory within the Department of Health and Human Physiology.

Education Requirement:
Required Qualifications:
Experience with exercise testing and health, and/or behavioral assessment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as excellent time management and organizational skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., ACSM, NSCA, personal training, health coaching, etc.).
Demonstrated effectiveness as a primary instructor of laboratory courses.
Flexibility in teaching other laboratory courses, including anatomy and physiology.
Familiarity with commonly used exercise science technology (e.g., metabolic cart, air plethysmography, force plate, etc.).
Familiarity with objective dietary and/or physical activity behavior assessment (e.g., activPAL, ActiGraph).
