  • Based at the Melbourne City campus, however, may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University or other location.

  • About the Position

    As VE Teacher, Building Surveying & Land Management, you will be delivering course content, assessing students and supervising their progress in selected school courses. Additionally, you will need to actively participate in the school's periodic reviews of course content, development, delivery, teaching methods (including online delivery methods), and student assessment methods.

    To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments.

  • Skills and experience in competency-based assessment.

  • Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

  • Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge.

  • Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.

  • Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team.

  • Skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.

  • Mandatory Qualifications:

  • A qualification in the TAE 40122 (TAE40116) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education

  • Diploma of Building & Construction or HE Qualification in Project or Construction Management

  • Please Note: Appointment to this position is subject to passing a Working with Children and National Police Check.
