  • About the Role

    The User Experience Team is brand new so you will be joining at an exciting time. You will have the opportunity to help shape the direction of the team and use your knowledge to enable us to become a centre of excellence.

    As the experience designer, you will be expected to work with stakeholders across the University. The role will report into and work closely with the newly appointed Head of User Experience.

    You will create and maintain the University's design system. You will ensure that it is relevant to the widest number of digital services, evolve it over time and encourage its usage across the organisation.

    By providing guidance on design best practice and offering relevant training when necessary, you will help drive the success of this newly formed team.

    About You

    We are seeking a talented individual with:

  • Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role with a portfolio showcasing design projects
  • Demonstrable experience of creating and evolving design systems and style guides
  • Familiarity with using prototypes to test hypotheses, assumptions and to validate user journeys
  • A solid grasp of accessibility norms and legislation, including the implications of the 2018 public sector regulations for the University
