Key Responsibilities
Ensure flawless execution of governance processes, adhering strictly to
regulatory requirements.
Act as the primary liaison between the executive and non-executive teams,
encouraging collaboration and cohesion.
Coordinate the development and implementation of governance policies that
support our ambitious strategic goals.
Provide expert advice to senior management on legal, regulatory, and
compliance and audit matters.
Successfully implement systems and frameworks to manage institutional risk
while seizing growth opportunities.
Support the University's mission to compete on a global stage through
robust governance practices.
Lead and mentor a high-performing team to deliver outstanding
administrative support across the institution.
Facilitate the smooth operation of the University's governing bodies,
including Council, Senate and their Committees.
About you :
To succeed in this role you'll need:
A proven track record in a senior governance or administrative role within
higher education or a similarly complex organisation.
Outstanding knowledge of governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, and
risk management.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to
foster an inclusive and collaborative environment.
Excellent organisational and project management abilities, capable of
managing multiple priorities with precision.
Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, able to
articulate complex issues clearly and persuasively.
A dedication to the values of the University of Bath, including
excellence, inclusion, and innovation.
Relevant qualifications in governance, law, or a related field are highly
desirable.
