The role

This is a fixed term role for one year. Based at our Headington campus and reporting to the Director of Marketing, Recruitment & Engagement, the role will provide senior leadership and operational oversight of the Educational Partnerships and Apprenticeships team during a critical transition phase.

A new Educational Partnership Strategy was approved last year by the Vice- Chancellor's Group. To support the delivery of this, the role holder will focus on delivering a number of priority projects, including the onboarding of a major new overseas partner, will successfully manage our existing partnerships (e.g. CDUT, the Global Banking School - GBS - and Metropolitan College, Athens), and maintaining team stability.

The role holder will also oversee the timely and effective implementation of a new OfS-funded Healthcare Apprenticeships consortium, and will collaborate with faculties and our Associate College Partners (ACPs) to develop our FE college provision. As the central liaison for internal and external stakeholders, the role demands strong leadership, management and communication skills to maintain team focus, ensure seamless operations, and achieve strategic alignment across the University during this transitional period.

About the Role

This senior leadership role provides operational oversight for the Educational Partnerships and Apprenticeships team during a critical transitional phase. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Recruitment, and Engagement, you will lead key projects such as:

● Onboarding a major new overseas partner.

● Managing existing partnerships, including high-profile collaborations (e.g., CDUT, GBS, and Metropolitan College Athens).

● Overseeing the closure of the BCAS partnership in Sri Lanka.

● Launching a new OfS-funded Healthcare Apprenticeships consortium.

● Collaborating with faculties and partners to develop our FE college provision.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage complex partnerships and collaborations, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.

● Serve as the central liaison for internal and external stakeholders.

● Lead the development and approval of business cases and new partnership proposals.

● Provide effective leadership to maintain team focus and operational continuity.

● Oversee key projects and ensure compliance with funding and reporting requirements.

About You

We are looking for an experienced professional with:

● Proven leadership in managing complex educational partnerships in higher education.

● Strong financial planning and budget management skills.

● A successful track record of delivering large-scale, multi-stakeholder projects.

● Experience with externally funded projects, including compliance and reporting.

● Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

● Adaptability to changing regulatory and operational contexts.

Based at our Headington campus, you'll experience the vibrant campus atmosphere and benefit from our modern office environment. The campus is one mile from the centre of Oxford and is served by regular public transport. This role will be hybrid and we expect there will be a requirement to be on campus 1-2 days on campus per week.
