Work content and job description 1.A full-time instructor will teach six 100-minute classes a week, primarily in Japanese, concerning the four fundamental modules – language/communication, world cultures, Japanese culture, and region/tourism. Courses to be taught are asfollows: Specialized courses Informative Communication, Content Industry, Global Cultures Workshop, Social Media Workshop, Global Media Studies, Media Culture in Japan, Mass Media Workshop Courses where the instructor holds special responsibility for a particular group of students for a year-long period Basic Study Skills, Capstone Project a, Capstone Project b, Graduation Research (Supervising the writing of graduating students' written compositions) Note: If you are able to teach an “Introduction to Social Statistics” course, please mention it in the column of ‘educational capabilities' on document No.2 of the application.
Other duties include but are not limited to: 2.Counselling students in designated office hours 3.Leading and/or assisting with curriculum improvements 4.Executing or assisting with extracurricular activities both in and/or outside of the university (occasionally on Sundays or holidays) 5.Attending committee meetings, faculty development seminars, and proctoring exams.
