  • About the role

    As the Transition Support Team Leader you will lead, manage and coordinate teams responsible for the development of transition study plans and quality enquiry support to students of Adelaide University (AU). You will provide guidance and advice with respect to the transition to Adelaide University in 2026, This includes:

  • Coordinating the delivery of study plans and enquiry support relating to the transition to Adelaide University.
  • Providing leadership in design, implementation and improvement of study plan development and enquiry management processes.
  • Development and delivery of training related to the creation of student plans and enquiry management.
  • This role is pivotal in the transition of students to AU and will be required to balance stakeholder expectations, manage risks and monitor and adhere to deadlines. You will work closely with the Transition Support Manager, other Transition Support Team Leaders, Senior SME Leads, Project Managers, and other professional staff across both the University of South Australia (UniSA) and The University of Adelaide (UoA).

    Core Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate a team to deliver transition study plans and quality enquiry support, ensuring tasks are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards.
  • Manage team resourcing, scheduling, performance, coaching, and feedback, fostering effective communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Oversee and improve workflows, streamlining processes, optimising resource allocation, and meeting key milestones.
  • Act as an escalation point to address complex queries and resolve challenging student interactions.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and training for study plan development and enquiry management processes.
  • Support the Transition Support Manager by identifying and implementing process improvements and risk management strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in leading and motivating a team, ensuring their output is efficient, on-time and accurate.
  • Experience in coordinating resources, scheduling, and meeting deadlines within a dynamic and high-pressure environment.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills, including the ability to be innovative and creative in providing advice and generating solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in communicating effectively with the ability to influence a wide range of constituencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports and documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
