Care About Childcare is looking for a qualified trainer to teach Child Development classes to child care providers in the Weber, Davis, and Morgan counties.

Qualified applicant will be responsible for teaching classes for the Care About Childcare in a variety of topics including Developmentally Appropriate preschool activities, how to care for special needs children, and other topics as assigned. The qualified applicant will teach a minimum of 40 hours per contract year (July 1-June 30).

This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications

Associates, Bachelors or Masters degree in an Early Childhood field with the following required courses: Intro to Early Childhood, Infant Development (can opt out on this requirement), Child Development, Principles of Positive Guidance.

Two years paid professional experience working directly with children. Have at least 6 months experience of direct responsibility for professional development of adults and demonstrate knowledge of adult learning and training.

Preferred Qualifications

It is preferred that applicants have working knowledge of computers and how to use power point.
