Temporary Position Title Title IX Office Assistant - PTTemporary Position Summary
The Title IX & Compliance Office is seeking a part-time Title IX Office Assistant for the Academic Year 2023-2024 to provide support for and in our office. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual with a commitment to contributing to a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all members of our community. This position is a maximum of 20 hours a week. Normal Working Hours: 9:00AM – 5:00PM. The work schedule will be determined by the manager.
Temporary Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform a variety of administrative tasks including preparation of Power Point presentations, assist in the development and implementation of awareness campaigns, outreach, communication and marketing efforts around sex-based discrimination and gender-based violence, including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence and stalking.
Support staff in conducting best practice research for prevention and education initiatives; assist in the preparation and implementation of prevention and education activities, and ongoing departmental activities.
Assist with event planning including coordination of training for campus stakeholders including undergraduate Peer Educators, student leaders, and campus adjudicators/investigators.
Create consistent, meaningful content on social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving user engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
Develop social media content plans that are consistent with the Title IX Office brand.
Use social media analytical tools to monitor and evaluate the office's social media presence and performance. Prepare reports on social media marketing efforts.
Make recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results. Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree. Preference given to individuals with backgrounds in Social Work, Public Health, Behavioral Science, Higher Education, or related field.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, handling confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and diplomacy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient presentation abilities to transmit messages with clarity, and ability to relate to undergraduate student audiences.
Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, Canva or comparable graphic software, and social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter).
Ability to use virtual meeting platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
