Location: Southampton General Hospital Salary: £29,605 Full Time Fixed Term (24 Months) Closing Date: Wednesday 15 May 2024 Interview Date: To be confirmed Reference: 2688324CM

This is an opportunity to join the University of Southampton Faculty of Medicine Tissue Bank supporting cancer research. Based in a very well-equipped laboratory on the University Hospital Southampton site, you will be part of a team assisting in the efficient collection, preparation, storage and release of human biological materials to research laboratories. Training is provided.

You must be educated to GCSE, AS and A Level /NVQ 3/4 level or equivalent. You must have proven bench work experience in a suitable biological field and have the ability to follow the instructions described in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in order to comply with Human Tissue Authority (HTA), Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) regulations.

The post is funded as a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 2 years. A standard Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
