About The Role

We are seeking to recruit a full-time Timetabling Officer to work as part of a team who are responsible for operating a high-quality timetabling and room booking system for the Penryn and Falmouth Campuses.

The successful candidate will be the main contact providing advice and guidance to students and academic staff relating to the academic timetable using specialist software, input and manipulate detailed data in the scheduling software, ensure lessons are scheduled into specialist rooms and liaise with other departments to ensure that conferences, external and other non-academic activities are also accommodated.

About You

The successful candidate will have the ability to comprehend and process relatively complex and high volume data in an accurate and timely manner. A high level of IT literacy is required for this role as you will be producing reports, interpreting databases, spreadsheets and specialist applications. You will have good organisation and negotiating skills and be able to convey complex information to a wide range of people, along with excellent customer care skills.

The ideal candidate will also have the following skills:

  • Ability to deal professionally with a wide range of people
  • Ability to learn new applications quickly (timetabling, space database software)
  • Good team player

    This position is offered on a permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week contract working Monday to Friday.
