Position Title Theatre & Dance Scenic Painters-Work Study

Student Status Work Study Required- You are required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position. Work Location Springfield Campus Department Theatre & Dance Hiring Range 12.00/hour Department/Employer Operating Hours 9am-11pm How many hours per week are required? 2-10 Description of Primary Duties

Seeking work study eligible students for scenic painting in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Position will include painting and prepping scenery and properties for theatrical productions within the Department of Theatre and Dance. Duties will include, but are not limited to, base painting, faux finishes, texturing, Tromp L'Oeil painting, sealing, sanding, finishing and tool maintenance (cleaning).

Required Qualifications

Ability to stand, bend over, climb ladders, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) required. You do not have to have any previous experience, but a basic understanding of color and basic painting techniques is useful.
