The position of Temporary Product and Asset Manager—part of the Digital Content team within Marketing and Communication—reports to the Associate Director of Digital Content. The Digital Content team is responsible for the management, pre/post production, and distribution of time-based (video, motion, audio), non-time-based (photography/graphics) digital assets that support and advance, and overseeing and managing our various admin platforms. The New School's many marketing initiatives, including brand awareness and promotion of the university's colleges, schools, offerings, and community.

This position requires a motivated, experienced, and solutions oriented individual who can coordinate, manage, and lead the management of our digital content management systems. In addition, this individual must project manage ongoing administrative platforms and must be able to determine the business requirements of projects, deliver assets on time and on budget, and work closely with other members of the Marketing and Communication Department, university partners (including university leadership), and external vendors.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the Public Programs team to develop the new Kaltura MediaSpace website ( https: // content.newschool.edu/) which will involve research, strategy, content curation, and UI/UX management.
  • Assist in managing the university Livestream Kaltura channel with the creation of custom pages for university public programs and recruitment and student services events
  • Manage the Digital Content Servers (DC PRODUCTION and DC PROJECTS); ensure the health of these servers in service to the team and serve as core liaison with IT for ongoing maintenance.
  • Research and collaborate on the refinement and expansion of the roster of creative vendors to support university marketing efforts both from a messaging/artistic standpoint and fiscal efficiencies.

    Hybrid/Remote – Employees hired for this position primarily work remotely with the occasional on-campus presence required with advanced notice. Employees in this role will also be expected to use their best judgment to be on campus when necessary in order to best fulfill the responsibilities of their job descriptions. Open to making this a fully remote position dependent on skill level.

    WAGE

    $35.00 – $45.00 Per Hour

    Minimum Qualifications:

    REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in the humanities or in media arts with significant coursework related to design, film, or photography; master's degree a plus
  • 3-5 years of professional experience as a digital producer working in digital video, graphic arts, and photography production.
  • 3-5 years of working with CMS
  • 3+ years of managing admin projects
  • Experience with events and managing accessibility projects in digital media.
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7, Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Bridge) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of video pre- and post-production workflows, video, audio, transcoding, and media asset management working within a video production team on a server based environment.
  • Experience uploading and managing digital content within social media platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are a must. Ability to receive and delegate direction.
  • Additional ability in proofreading and writing a plus.
  • Strong collaborative spirit required.
