  • Position Summary:

    The University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking Temporary Professional Fire & Emergency Services applicants with significant experience in the Fire and Emergency Services.

    Duties:

    100Provide consultation, evaluation and/or instruction within a variety of areas throughout Fire and Emergency Services in accordance with the FESHE curriculum and/or EMT courses according to National EMS Standards and State of Alaska EMT curriculum. Additional duties as assignedEssential

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Professional level knowledge in area of expertise. Computer skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Prospective candidates must possess knowledge, experience, and/or expertise in a subject matter, area, or activity needed to complete required tasks and depends upon what position applicant is hired to support.
  • Applicant must possess interpersonal skills to deal effectively and collegially with students, staff, faculty, administration and the general public.
  • Preferred Experience & Education:

    Significant experience in Fire and Emergency Services.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Associate's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Applicant must hold current certifications at or above the level of instruction or evaluation.

    Salary Information:

    This is a part time, temporary position. New hires will be placed on the UA Temporary Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, based on education and experience.
