  • Position Summary:

    UAF Northwest Campus is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. Employment is dependent on UAF course approval. Duties to include instruction, advising students in subject matter and developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed.

    The College of Rural and Community Development - Northwest Campus is looking for adjunct faculty/part-time instructors. Duties to include developing a course outline, syllabus, teaching materials, and tests as needed. Subject areas include but are not limited to: Accounting, Alaska Native Languages, Alaska Native Studies, Anthropology, Applied Art, Applied Business, Art, Automotive, Biology, Business Administration, Communication, Computer Information and Office Systems, Developmental Education, Early Childhood Education, Education, Emergency Medical Services, English, Health, History, Human Services, Journalism, Justice, Library Science, Mathematics, Natural Resources Management, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, Recreation, Rural Development, Rural Human Services, Social Work, Tribal Management.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Candidates will be evaluated on the suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching or field related experience, and potential for providing high-quality instruction to students.

    Preferred Experience & Education:

    Experience sufficient to perform teaching assignment required w/demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject required.

    Required Experience & Education:

    Academic Disciplines: Bachelor's degree or higher with teaching experience in the appropriate area.

    Vocational Disciplines: Bachelor degree or field related experience sufficient to perform teaching assignment required w/demonstrated experience and expertise in the subject required.

    Masters in the subject area preferred.

    Salary Information:

    This is a part-time, adjunct represented temporary position. New hires will be placed on the adjunct salary schedule as outline in the UNAD CBA, based on education and experience.
