About the Role The Academic Operations Unit at Swinburne University are looking for a dedicated Technician to join their team and provide a high level of technical support within the dedicated Health Sciences laboratories (e.g. biomechanics, exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, dietetics, food science, digital anatomy, or biomedical and clinical sciences).
In this role, you will support undergrad and postgrad students, as well as Academic and Research staff within the School of Health Sciences and be required to utilise a large scope of skills including the use, maintenance, and calibration of specialised equipment. Further, you will ensure that training and support are provided promptly for all laboratory and clinical requirements.
As the Technician, you will work collaboratively with a range of staff and students across the organisation and will need to possess well-developed organisational, time management and problem-solving skills, be extremely flexible, use initiative and be responsive to the needs of those that the position directly supports.
