The College of Health and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint a Technical Team Leader. You will join a team of technicians who provide specialist technical support to the teaching and research facilities of Biosciences, Pharmacy, Neurosciences and Medicine. The successful candidate will be required to provide day-to-day management of the team and will undertake duties such as below:

  • Leading and Engendering a positive team working atmosphere
  • Coaching and Mentoring colleagues within the team
  • Organizing and allocating team workload
  • Providing guidance on career development
  • Managing and controlling a budget within set targets
  • Providing Health and Safety advice
  • Liaising with key stakeholders such as Heads of Schools, Programme Directors, Estates, Health and Safety
  • Providing support to teaching and research facilities
  • The successful candidate will need to hold a degree in Biosciences, Chemistry or equivalent, and will need to have experience of working in laboratories. Experience in leading a team would also be beneficial for this role.
