    You are a practical person who is comfortable with physical hands on work setting up equipment and props. You have a keen eye for detail and are comfortable working in a team environment where communication is key in a constantly changing environment. You are technologically savvy and comfortable using a range of software.

    About the Role

    Reporting to the Senior Technician: Horizon Hospital and Health Service, you will provide technical support to the simulation teaching spaces within the Horizon Hospital and Health Services (HHHS). You will be responsible for the creation of simulated medical props, setting up simulated clinical environments and ensuring the spaces and storerooms are appropriately stocked and maintained.

    UniSA's Horizon Hospital and Health Service (HHHS) is comprised of contemporary simulated health environments (on campus) that support the translation of students' theoretical knowledge into clinical practice. The HHHS forms part of the Clinical Health Science Unit's commitment that the degrees are designed and delivered to meet the ever-evolving needs of industry, ensuring graduates are career ready and equipped with the skills to meet future demands.

  • Demonstrated experience in a service-oriented team
  • Attention to detail to complete tasks accurately within a set time frame
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical competency to manage and operate equipment Experience in operating simulation equipment (desirable)

    This position is a flexible ordinary hours appointment, which requires ordinary hours to be worked on a rostered shift arrangement that includes performing work both within and outside the span of ordinary hours as specified in the University of South Australia Enterprise Agreement 2023 and its successor enterprise agreements. A flexibility loading will be paid at the appropriate rate for every hour worked outside of the span of ordinary hours as specified in the Enterprise Agreement.
