Technical Officer in the Faculty of Engineering (Ref.: 524577) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal)
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Engineering or related disciplines, along with a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, as well as effective communication skills, the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and enthusiasm in working with undergraduate students. Proficiency in robotics or AI-related application development and the ability to design and deploy the applications independently are essential. Applicants with experience in developing and supervising undergraduate student programmes, and knowledge in managing maker spaces will be desirable.
The appointee will be responsible for developing AI-powered robotic solutions to support the operation of the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing under the Faculty of Engineering. He/she will actively engage in undergraduate student project, provide technical guidance in the areas of AI and robotics development, and perform other duties as assigned by the Director of the Tam Wing Fan Innovation Wing.
