Technical Officer in the Department of Chemistry (Ref.: 524546) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a higher degree (MPhil. or Ph.D.) in Chemistry with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in handling chemicals and quenching chemicals in a synthetic laboratory is highly preferred. Knowledge of Dangerous Goods and Controlled Chemicals and experience in chemical tracking and logistics would be an advantage. Applicants should have a good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua) as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
The appointee will handle chemicals in chemical store and collaborate with research staff and different research groups. He/She will help contribute to the development of our chemical database.
