Technical Officer (holding the functional title of Embryologist Trainee) in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 526387) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline, preferably with experience in handling embryos and sperm, and be registered as a medical laboratory technologist (MLT).

The appointee will carry out routine embryologist's duties to provide ART services; conduct clinical research; and work in the IVF laboratory managed by HKU in the Assisted Reproduction Unit at the University's teaching hospitals. On-the-job training will be provided. Working outside normal office hours and/or on public holidays may be required.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
