  • About the Role

    Reporting to the Manager: Applications and Admissions you will maintain and continually improve the Research Degree Admissions systems and processes, provide strategic and operational reporting and advice to senior leadership, and lead and support the team that prepares, collects and processes applications for admission.

    About Student and Academic Services

    The Student and Academic Services (SAS) Unit provides senior leadership, guidance and services which enable the University to maximise the success and experience of all UniSA students. Acting as a key partner and facilitator with academic units, and working collaboratively with other central units, SAS is responsible for the development and maintenance of student facing services, policy, information systems and procedural frameworks. The Unit coordinates and provides quality assurance for a number of University functions including student support, admissions, enrolments, research candidature, examinations, graduations, student finance and scholarships.

    Essential Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or demonstrated significant equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and developing a team including fostering an effective and service oriented and continuous improvement culture in a complex service environment
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships in a complex environment through the application of high level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills and experience in the development and/or improvement of administrative systems
  • Experience in creating new and maintaining existing student and/or academic administration process
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including demonstrated experience in negotiating with and influencing managers and staff across all levels of an organisation
  • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills including the use of a variety of data sources to provide high-level advice and recommendations to senior staff
