Applications are invited for a Teaching Fellow (level 4) in Games Design & Art, to provide maternity cover for a fixed term of one year, in the Department of Art and Media Technology at the Winchester School of Art, with a specific focus on delivering year 1 Games Design and Art education across 3 modules in the year.

You should have prior experience with Level 4 undergraduate teaching specifically related to practice-based courses and experience on this within games design. The modules run Sept 2024 - May 2025 however we would like the person to start asap.

The School, which recently celebrated its sesquicentennial, is part of the University of Southampton, with access to world-class facilities including the Winchester Gallery, the John Hansard Gallery, and complementary academic programmes including Fine Art and Creative Computing.

As a successful candidate, you will have the following qualifications:

  • A good experience with teaching games education to undergraduate students
  • Experience working across modules that provide both theory and practical outcomes
  • Evidence of leadership in teaching and learning
  • Hands-on experience as a game maker
