The Department of Geography and Resource Management is recruiting Teaching Assistant(s). Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor degree (preferably a good Master degree); (ii) a background in geography and resource management, hospitality and tourism, environmental science or related disciplines; (iii) a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) a proactive work attitude and a strong sense of responsibility; and (v) solid knowledge of project management and computer applications with good organizational, communication and problem- solving skills. Having some relevant teaching experience would be an advantage.
The appointee will report to the Programme Director of the MSSc Programme in Sustainable Tourism. Duties include (a) conducting and coordinating teaching support and programme administration work; (b) assisting in tutorials, field trips, laboratory/practical classes, preparation of course materials/classes, student consultation/supervision, other academic activities and administrative duties as assigned.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing June 2024, renewable subject to performance and mutual agreement.
