System Specialist (at the rank of IT Officer) (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 524017) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance)
Applicants should possess a Higher Diploma or above in Computer or IT related disciplines, with good command of both spoken English and Chinese, as well as at least 2 years' work experience in network infrastructure or server infrastructure. They should have practical experience with (i) enterprise grade of storage and backup equipment; (ii) patch management; (iii) relational and object-based databases; and (iv) enterprise grade of network and security equipment. Experience in setting up active-active data centers would be a definite advantage.
The appointees will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing all IT operations in data centers, and leading infrastructure and security projects. They will assist in developing a new data center, building and configuring large network for remote teaching and learning. Working independently and outside office hours are required.
