We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated System Administrator to join our team, supporting the administration and maintenance of Unix-based servers in a research-driven environment supporting GSK-Oxford Pre-Cancer & Immuno-Prevention Alliance (GO-PRECISE) and related Oxford Cancer programmes. In this role, you will be responsible for managing Unix/Linux-based servers, ensuring their stability, availability, and performance, as well as backups, disaster recovery, and security. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Unix/Linux administration, Docker, and system security, and will be committed to maintaining robust infrastructure that supports critical cancer research.

The role will report to the Strategic Data Platform Development Lead in Oxford.

The post is based at Oxford Cancer, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LE and is offered on a full-time, fixed-term basis until 31st March 2027.
