Position Summer Event Manager (2023 Summer Employment)

Job Category Summer Job Description

The Campus and Community Events office seeks four full time Summer Event Manager Positions. Candidates must be hospitable, mission focused, energetic, organized, and flexible in assisting with summer weddings, camps, conferences, meetings, and office needs.

Job Duties

  • Business and administrative experience
  • Ability to work in a fast paced setting with a variety of external and internal clients
  • Plan and implement multi-faceted events
  • Manage guest services, including, check in/check out, daily requests, daily census, evaluations
  • Coordinate event service requests with campus partner agencies, including Security, General Services, Food Services
  • Coordinate housing assignments and distribute keys
  • Weekend and evening work will be required
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Presently enrolled in college
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as with others in a team environment
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in event planning and execution
  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience in a professional office setting
