About the role

Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) is a Department of the Navy engineering organization that specializes in submarine maintenance engineering.  SUBMEPP works with shipyards and maintenance facilities across the country and around the world to ensure that the United States submarine fleet remains safe and operational.  SUBMEPP engineers maintain submarine safety and operability by determining the technical requirements required for maintenance while considering factors such as cost, logistics and scheduling.  It is SUBMEPP's mission to keep all submarines safe, reliable and affordable to achieve planned service life through our engineered life cycle maintenance, material and modernization products and services. Hired candidates will work at SUBMEPP’s facility located on Naval Support Activity Maine in Kittery, Maine. 

SUBMEPP is looking for graduates with degrees in any engineering field to train as technical experts in submarine components and systems. SUBMEPP is looking for candidates with knowledge and interest in hydraulics, combat systems, electrical, steam and propulsion and structural engineering. 

Hires are federal employees and eligible for federal employee benefits through the Department of the Navy.
