The Studio Mentor will monitor HE based studio and self-directed learning environments to ensure facilities and equipment are set up and operating effectively and maintained in a clean and safe condition. The Studio Mentor will ensure any issues identified are reported and rectified in accordance with University processes and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
The Studio Mentor will be responsible for supporting and encouraging best use of, and safe practice in studios and self-directed learning spaces. The Studio Mentor will provide guidance and support in studios and on occasion demonstrations to staff and students about facilities, software and equipment.

Key Selection Criteria
Good knowledge and expertise in studio-based activities associated with a design school. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide both written and verbal instruction to a range of audiences. A demonstrated willingness to deliver inventive and flexible solutions to staff and students. A willingness to take on new challenges, and organise workload to ensure timely completion of tasks. Demonstrated knowledge and application of OH&S legislation and regulations particularly in regard to teaching and studio environments.
Demonstrated current information technology and computer aided design skills. Demonstrated ability to work co-operatively as a member of a team with the ability to respond to the changing needs of the School.
