The Student Support Department at the University of Cambridge is seeking to appoint an exceptional individual to the role of Student Wellbeing Adviser. Reporting to the Head of Student Wellbeing, the successful candidate will join a supportive and energetic Student Wellbeing Service at this transformational time for the University.
About the Role
The successful candidate will contribute to the provision of prevention- focused wellbeing and mental health support for students, delivering high- quality assessment, triage, referrals and 'one-at-a-time' wellbeing support for students, enabling a stepped care approach in partnership with a network of College and University student support services.
The Student Wellbeing Adviser will be a point of contact and guidance for student-facing staff within Colleges and Academic Departments, offering responsive professional advice and coordination of student support. They will, as required, support our whole-community approach to mental health and wellbeing by delivering presentations, workshops or training sessions for staff and students.
This exciting new post is funded with a portion of the remit designed to co- develop and deliver student support and new wellbeing initiatives for the University's Mastercard Foundation African Scholars Programme. This unique partnership with a cutting-edge, globally-impactful programme will require a candidate who can demonstrate competency and an excellent understanding of best practice in supporting the wellbeing of international and global majority students.
The funds for this post are available for 7.5 years in the first instance.
