As part of our continued effort to enhance the university experience of our students, we are introducing Student Programmes Officers across the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, appointing indefinite roles on either a full-time (36.5 hours/wk) or part-time (18.25 hours/wk) basis. Each Student Programmes Officer will lead a professional services team covering the full range of teaching support, including student engagement, quality assurance, and assessment. You'll be a member of the Faculty Education Team, working closely with the Faculty Education Services Manager, to participate in and lead on student experience and teaching administration projects and initiatives for continuous improvement.
This is an opportunity to take the next step in your career at Lancaster University in the Student Programmes Officer role by leading the departmental administration of students, programmes, and modules. You will have experience of managing or supervising a team to deliver a high standard of customer service, whilst ensuring the ongoing review of practices and implementation of effective change. Working in a challenging environment, you will be expected to demonstrate initiative and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively. You will have the ability to prioritise and manage a diverse workload, working flexibly in order to meet deadlines and to work successfully as part of a leadership team. We are looking for candidates with relevant knowledge and experience of office systems and procedures and who possess excellent administrative, organisational, and IT skills.
Student Programmes Officer roles are available to support the following departments: English Language & Creative Writing; Languages & Cultures; Law; History; Politics, Philosophy & Religion (PPR); Linguistics & English Language; and Educational Research.
